Now, let me say that I really do love Noah Centineo. Sure, that was a love that grew over time – because if we’re being completely honest, I was not the biggest fan of him on The Fosters.
But To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, well that sold me on Noah.
But guys – as much as I love Noah, I can’t with this.
He’s going to be He-man. Let’s add this to the list of things in life I never wanted and never needed.
Look, it’s not that he can’t be He-man. He can. But like Gerard Butler in The 300, I don’t want to see him a leather skirt like thing (yes, I can’t think of the word right now). I don’t see him as He-man. I don’t want him in a role that he gets stereotyped in. I also don’t trust this franchise as the original He-man movie was an atrocity. I just also have no desire for a Masters of the Universe movie.
Don’t judge – this shit brings back bad memories.
Mattel Films is partnering with Sony on the movie, which is all based on the successful toy line and the cartoon that ran from 1983-85. He-man is a mythical warrior who is the last hope of Eternia.
Maybe I am alone in this. Maybe I am overthinking all of this. Maybe it’s just my hatred of He-man.
Centineo had break out roles in “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” and “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser” on Netflix. He has an upcoming role in “Charlies Angels”.
Are you excited to see him as He-man?
