It’s no secret that we love Bellamy Blake. His smile, his connection with Clarke, and his love for his sister make him a character worth watching. But this season hasn’t been too kind to Bob Morley’s character Bellamy Blake on The CW’s The 100. He’s had to deal with the loss of a loved one, a friend, and upheaval in his community’s fight for survival. He’s done unthinkable things because he was following orders and has made us wonder what kind of man he’ll be once Pike’s rule ends.
We chatted with The 100 star Bob Morley at WonderCon where he discussed his character’s development, motives (he wanted as much explanation as we did), his relationship with Octavia, and even a little bit about Bellarke. When asked about his feelings for Clarke he went on to say:
“I think his feelings for Clarke have been realized.” He then referred to the episode “Hakeldama” (Season 3, Episode 5) where Clarke returned to Arkadia and they had a heart to heart that ended up with Clarke arrested. “They had such a loyalty, such a strength together, and then she chose to go with Lexa as opposed to backing Bellamy in Season 3, Episode 3 (‘Ye Who Enter Here’).”
Watch our full interview with Bob Morley below, where he discusses a little bit more on Clarke, where he stands on his relationship with Octavia since she doesn’t need him as much, and the reasons behind his backing of Pike since the Chancellor’s election.
The 100 returns Thursday, March 31st @ 9/8c on The CW.
