When we know that a book is being turned into a movie, we pay attention.
When that adaptation includes Dylan O’Brien, you know that we’re paying attention. American Assassin, which stars our crush, hits theaters tomorrow. In true Fangirlish fashion, we’re breaking down the lessons that we learned from the trailer.
Love Never Dies And It Motivates
Look, as much as I would like to say that love can die – cause Lord knows I have loved some people in my life that I would like to pretend I never did – if you really love someone it never dies. Love is a motivator to move forward, but when you take away someone that someone loves – that shit motivates you for revenge.
Sometimes You Just Need To Give Up To Move On
We’ve all been there. That place where things are too much, but that pain is with us so deep that we can’t move on, because the pain is all we know. I get it, I’ve been there. Something that is really hard in life is giving up and letting go. Only when we are able to do that, we are able to move forward and move on.
You Can Be Taught Anything But Somethings You Just Instinctively Know
We all are born with the instinct ability to do somethings. We can’t explain it – it’s just part of our DNA. One of those things could be like your instinct to protect yourself and others. Could be empathy. But point is we need to just embrace what we know – we’re given gifts for a reason.
Dylan O’Brien And A Beard… Ummm…
This one divides people. You either love it or you hate it. BUT the lesson that we learned – you keep your thoughts on it to yourself.
Always Have Your Friends Back
Don’t know why we have to even say it because it should be second nature to all of us. We should be there for the people that have influenced us, been there for us, that care about us and that we care about. You should be there for the people that matter. Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves.
Be Careful Of What You Teach
Just remember what you teach can be used against you.
