Here we are, clockblockers, ready to preview another episode of Timeless, and isn’t it just a joy to be able to gush about this show, to replay some scenes (or one scene) twenty, thirty, forty times, to be able to get excited again? It sure is for me, and we should all remember that we got the show this far, yes, but they still need our help.
So, forgive me if I sound like a broken record, but watch live. Live-tweet. Watch again on NBC/Hulu. And don’t stop creating, talking, being excited. This is a brilliant show, with amazing actors and incredible writing, and it deserves much more than these 10 episodes. Let’s help it get a Season 3.
For now, let’s talk about what, in my opinion, was one of the most fun episodes Timeless has ever done, and yet an episode that, like always with this show, managed to deliver social commentary, and some poignant moments, all while keeping us glued to screen every second.
Here are some teases of what you can expect during “The Darlington 500”:
- Wyattt is a NASCAR fan. And you know what they say about fans, they know their stuff.
- This leads to some Rufus and Lucy bonding, of the fun kind. Not everyone gets the sports, we know.
- We get some backstory on our favorite soldier, the kind that will make you want to hug him tight
- Emma is around again, and she’s still not a fan of Lucy.
- Jiya’s gets more screen-time, and yes, she’s still having visions. They just feature people now, instead of things.
- Rufus’s smug, knowing face makes an appearance.
- We get an answer to the: who’s sharing with who question!
- We also get an answer to the: where are they getting the clothes question.
- Agent Christopher is absolutely not kidding around in this episode. She’s in charge, and no one, absolutely no one, will question her authority.
- Flynn is also around, and if this is who he’s gonna be this season, I might be on board.
- BIG RITTENHOUSE ENDGAME REVEAL.
- There’s a Lyatt scene that’s about as intimate a scene as anything I’ve ever seen on TV, and Matt and Abigail sell it. One hundred percent. In fact, I think I need to go rewatch that scene right now. For reasons and science.
Are you excited? I’m excited for you all to watch it!
Timeless airs Sundays at 10/9c on NBC.
