Another book. Another option.
If you are a fan of Lauren Oliver’s, then get yourself ready, because her book REPLICA has been optioned. Producer Matt Kaplan, the man behind To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, has picked up the movie rights. The movie will be produced under the ACE Entertainment banner, with Lauren Oliver penning the script.
“Lauren’s beautiful coming-of-age story about what it means to be human resonated with YA audiences across the globe, and blending this narrative with Michael’s experience in the genre space is exactly what we want to be doing at ACE,” Kaplan said in a statement provided to THR, who broke the news. “We are excited to explore the ideas and themes that young people relate to and I can’t think of better people to tell this story with.”
It won’t be the first time that Kaplan has worked with Oliver. The two worked together on Oliver’s, Before I Fall.
Michael Fimognari will be re-teaming with Kaplan and direct the feature adaptation.
Are you excited for the possibilities? We are.
