I previously met Tyler Blackburn one day when I was working at Warner Bros Studios. I was walking on the lot one day and was enamored with all of sets, the people, and just the way that my dreams were coming true – because I was working in entertainment.
And then I found myself lost.
I ran into a guy trying to find my way and it wasn’t until a friend of mine walked up to me and asked me what Tyler Blackburn had needed from me that I knew who I had spoken to.
I was a religious watcher of Pretty Little Liars and obsessed with the show. I didn’t know what to say about that interaction, but it forever stuck in my mind.
So sitting across from him and even though he may not remember me (I don’t ever expect a celebrity to), I remembered him. I remembered his kindness.
Tyler plays Alex on Roswell, New Mexico now and we all know this sites love for that show. Alex comes from a family with a strong military history, and also his bat shit crazy Dad who needs to be sent to an institution is the head of a secret alien hunting part of the military. There is everything that is stacked against Alex.
Alex has just returned to the states after serving and loosing a leg. He’s in love with Michael Guerin and has fought with everything he has against that. But these two are meant to be together and for them – we’re in it for the slow burn. Like legitimately don’t care how long it takes (but let’s not take too long) – we will be here until the bitter end.
When Tyler sat down, I had diarrhea of the mouth and told him how nervous we all were. But after a deep breath and a moment, Tyler made sure we were all at ease.
There is just something about Tyler Blackburn that makes everything make sense. And hey, I am thankful for it.
Roswell, New Mexico returns midseason on The CW.
