Love, Simon was a movie that changed us and we’re so excited that the stories from that universe are not over yet. If you’re like us, you’ve been spending your time binging Love, Victor on Hulu and hanging on every scene and waiting for the story to unfold.
“I talked to my cousin, who is gay. He told me things that really hurt him and helped him [when he was coming out.] It was very special for both of us,” Michael said to People.
Michael added, “I wanted Victor to feel like a real human being. I feel like the most important thing about this whole story is that someone could relate to Victor and relate to his story, no matter what your sexual orientation is, no matter what ethnicity you are. And I feel like adding elements of myself and of my cousin, did that.”
If you aren’t familiar with Love, Victor it tells the story of Victor, a young teen who has moved to a new city and is struggling to come to terms with his sexuality – all while experiencing problems at home and navigating high school.
Love, Victor is currently streaming on Hulu.
