Center Stage has long been one of my favorite movies. I don’t know why, because I can’t dance. But maybe it was the dream of living a big life in New York City.
While we all sit here and wait for Center Stage, the television show, and re-watch the movie… there is some news. Well, kinda.
Some of the original cast members of the movie are coming together to raise money for charity. Zoe Saldana, Amanda Schull, Sascha Radetsky and Ethan Stiefel will be reuniting for a virtual fundraiser to support the American Ballet Theatre’s Crisis Relief Fund.
The fund raises money for dancers, production crews, musicians, ballet staff and faculty impacted by the coronavirus. As we all know there was a lot of things shut down due to the pandemic and the entertainment industry hasn’t been spared.
So when is the fundraiser? Tuesday, September 1 and will stream on the American Ballet Theatre and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment YouTube channels at 7:30 p.m. EST.
