Everyone wants a dream night. I want a dream night. I want a night that feels like anything can come true, like the world stops, and then I freak out cause there is so much that I will regret.
I want a night where I can be anyone but me. And well, in this episode of Emily in Paris, she’s getting just that. She’s getting to be glamorous, to do things she normally wouldn’t do, and to be anything but the girl she is back home.
And sometimes, well, that’s just what you need. You don’t need an ending you’re used to. You need a French ending.

RETAIL THERAPY >>
I can’t get over people going into work so late, because you know – we don’t do that here. I mean, if I asked my boss to come in at 11, she wouldn’t complain. But I wake up at 6am daily and sign into work. Work is something that I just feel like I need to be doing all the time.
For people in France, they have time to shop in the AM apparently, because Emily catches Sylvie shopping before work. Retail therapy – I am all for it.
But Sylvie doesn’t want to talk about it. She’s not used to the enthusiasm that Emily has for everything and for her – it’s not something she wants to deal with, no matter the time of the day.
For Emily, every moment is a moment to try and get Sylvie to like her. But Sylvie isn’t really capable of emotions (my opinion). Sylvie just tells her that she’ll be away for the week, which she should realize is going to open up to questions and Emily wanting to help.
I admire the fact that Emily wants to help. Most of us usually would be like ya, not working thank you very much. But Emily is like: give me more.
She takes on the Fourtier Flagship Party and that means babysitting an America actress. But Emily is up for whatever it takes to prove herself.
SHE NEEDS TO MASTURBATE
Leave it to Julian to know all the gossip. When he gives Emily all the information for the celebrity that she needs to babysit, he also spills the gossip. Sylvie’s trip – it’s to St Barts with Antoine.
Look, Sylvie is not my favorite person, but she sure as fuck doesn’t deserve to be strung along all the time. But she has to stand up for herself and something tells me that isn’t going to happen.
But what I loved was hearing Julian and Luc’s take on the actress. She may be big in the United States, but she’s not that in France. French people sees her movies at foolish (her movies are basically American Rom-Coms). They like more realistic endings. They want to see life. Thinking that you can escape life is a problem – you can never escape life.

“Welcome to the French ending.”
Julian
Emily goes to the hotel to meet with Brooklyn (the actress), and the front desk agent won’t let her up. She’s lucky, because Brooklyn sees her and says she’s with her. I have known a lot of celebrities in my life, and most have them have never been like she’s with me. They duck and run for cover.
They immediately try and set Brooklyn up as completely irresponsible. She wants to know if Emily has weed. She starts undressing the moment that they walk into the room. She mentions to Emily that she was nothing to wear, and Emily sees this as an opportunity to make Pierre young and glamorous again.
Emily always has her mind on work, but Brooklyn is thinking about self love. She asks Emily for 15 minutes – she needs to masturbate after a long flight.
I admit – I didn’t see that one coming.
TROUBLE IN PARADISE
Dinner with the girls – it is always needed after a rough day. And for Emily that means time with Camille and Mindy.
What I don’t understand is why they go to Gabriel’s restaurant. Does he give a great discount? Cause that’s what I am going to assume. I mean I have been to Paris and there is a lot of good food around.
The whole situation is weird. Mindy and Emily know that it’s gonna be weird if they have to talk to Gabriel cause there’s that whole sexual tension between Emily and Gabriel thing. And why Camille wants to be there with the awkwardness that is between her and Gabriel – lord only knows why they are there.
See, Gabriel’s boss has agreed to sell him the restaurant and Camille is excited. She’s that good girlfriend who wants the best for her man. Gabriel looks annoyed and says it can’t happen, he can’t afford it.
But heres the thing – Camille says her parents can loan him the money and she’s uber excited about it. He gets all quiet and then walks away. Mindy says mixing money and friendship is an issue. She knows that situation, after all she is super rich.
Camille asks if she’s being the annoying girlfriend. And hey, the thing is – SHE IS. However as good friends – they say no.
Oh and I forgot to mention that Emily invited them all to the party, but the only person that can go is Gabriel.
Now, as Emily and Gabriel are my ship – I am all for this. I however am apprehensive about this because I feel like this is a bad situation.
DO I NEED UNDERWEAR FOR THIS?
I will say this – Emily has more patience than I do. I once had to take an actress shopping and she pissed me off so much I told her that she looked wide in everything. It’s not my proudest moment, but she was so rude to everyone that it was too much for me.
You can tell a lot about a person by the way that they treat people.
Brooklyn is putting everything down. She’s quite frankly being a bitch. And I am not having it. She asks if she needs underwear to try on things, and if it was me, I would have walked out at that moment.

While she’s trying on stuff, Pierre’s nephew comes out and he acts like he knows who Emily is. He thinks that she’s Brooklyn and you have to give him credit for trying. Emily is gracious, though I woulda been laughing at him.
Emily explains where she’s from and he says it’s not his uncle’s place to hire a marketing agency. Well, leave it to Emily to convince him to give a one month trial. That is if she can give a really great social post for the dress that Brooklyn is wearing.
RELEASES AND RELEASED
Now, if I was Emily, I would have trouble signing a waiver for a two million euro watch that a celebrity who doesn’t want to be there and is shifty as fuck needs to wear. I know it’s all part of the job, but I also know that I trust no one with that much money.
Hell, I barely trust anyone with a 20.
What I do admire about Emily, is that she’s always thinking of everyone else but herself. When Antoine shows up with his wife, Emily is thinking that there is gonna be an issue and the first thing that she wants to do is protect Sylvie.
I don’t know what she thought was going to get when she told Sylvie what was going on. I felt like she wanted to protect Sylvie, but she’s never given her an ounce of thinking that she wanted anyone to care about her.
I think that Sylvie is closed off because that’s how she was raised but she’s just a girl who wants a lot of attention but doesn’t want to admit that she wants attention. We all want to be loved and I do think that she’s looking for a way to react, but not show that she’s reacting.
Antoine is walking up a little bit later to Gabriel and Emily. Emily asks Gabriel to put his arm around her and he seems a little confused, but does what’s asked. My shipping heart is happy – for a second.
Antoine tries to make conversation and I can respect that he likes Emily. It’s obvious. He says he is in trouble cause his wife wants an expensive watch. Sylvie is steering her towards it, which we can all guess is her way of slapping Antoine with the why the fuck is she here. Sylvie throws it on thick with Gabriel, which I assume is to make him realize the error of his ways.
But what happens next made my heart hurt for Sylvie. Antoines wife says that Antoine is surprising her with a trip to Saint Barts the next week. Sylvie looks pissed and hurt and she can’t hide it. That shit is all over her face. Antoine looks scared – it wasn’t for his wife.
We all know that the trip for Saint Barts was for Sylvie and him. Lord, it must be hard juggling all the places that you put your dick.
I don’t like him – even though I think he oozes sex appeal.
WE HAVE A RUNNER
Brooklyn is a bitch. Sorry, not sorry. She acts all sorts of entitled and proves that when she leaves the party with the watch. I don’t blame Emily for freaking out at that moment. Like, that is one expensive ass watch.
But leave it to Gabriel and his laid back attitude to calm Emily down when she’s freaking out. He helps her track Brooklyn down and what ensues is an epic night. And everyone deserves one of those. One night where they forget everything but the moments and the people just right there.
But what you want to do is avoid complications and get so caught up in the moment that you loose focus. And Emily gave into it the moment and kissed Gabriel. Yes, I cheered, but at the same point I was like NOOOO.
She needs to let herself remember that her friend is his girlfriend.
The Fourtier people keep calling for the watch. Emily tries to smooth it over, but when they can’t find Brooklyn, I have to wonder what any of them are thinking. They try to get to her and when they get there, that same front desk agent is there and won’t let them up.
Emily tries to get up to the room, but he won’t let her. Gabriel takes her to the bar, so they don’t get kicked out.
I’m gonna be the one to say it – how the hell are they having these deep ass conversations when there is so much going on. I wouldn’t be able to think about anything but the watch.
SO MANY THINGS ARE EPIC
When Sylvie calls, Emily picks up. When Sylvie sees you at the bar with the hot dude instead of getting back the watch, you better run.
Sylvie goes off on thee front desk dude and screams and tells him that he’ll have PR nightmare if he doesn’t let her up to the room. She wants to know if he’s willing to be destroyed over this.
Am I shocked that Emily and Sylvie get into the room? No. Am I shocked that Brooklyn is in bed with some dude? No. Am I shocked that Emily sees the dress on the ground and sees an Instagram photo? No.
But my favorite part is seeing Sylvie take charge and gets the watch? No.
When they leave, Emily tells her that she was badass and that she is in awe. I love Emily’s optimistic attitude, but she has to see that everyone is not the same way. Emily asks Sylvie if she’s happy and Sylvie wants to know if she believes most people are happy.
The truth is everyone should be happy. Emily says she could have 100 percent of someone and Sylvie says thats not what she wants. But we all know that it’s what she wants.
It’s what we all want.
Emily and Sylvie may have different thoughts on things, but it’s a natural human thing to be wanted and loved and it’s not shameful. Sure, we all don’t believe in the knight coming to save us or love us, but we all should. Because we all deserve it.
The whole experience changes Emily’s attitude. When Gabriel is outside, waiting to make sure she got home – do I want her to run into his arms? Sure. But Emily has realized how complicated that can be and it’s within her right to do that. He wanted to take her to sunrise and a crepe. Emily she wants but says she can’t share a crepe, she needs the whole thing.
She doesn’t think that they should see each other anymore. I teared up. It’s never easy to make the hard choices, but Emily does.
She knows what she stands to loose, but also knows that right now is her time to be strong.
And strong isn’t easy, but it will be a moment you never forget.
