‘Tis the season for television Christmas Movies! It may be still be October, but Lifetime and Hallmark are starting their Christmas lineups this weekend. Lifetime is kicking the season off on Friday with Christmas on Ice. Continuing through the weekend they have premires on Saturday and Sunday: Christmas Unwrapped and Forever Christmas. Hallmark Channel joins the fun with Jingle Bell Bride on Saturday and Chateau Christmas on Sunday. Sister channel Hallmark Movies and Mysteries have two movies premiering: Christmas Tree Lane on Saturday and Deliver by Christmas on Sunday.
I wrote earlier this year “hopefully more strides will be made {to diversify}” Hallmark Channel movies. Both networks have line ups that are more diverse than last year and plenty of movies to watch. Lifetime has 30 premieres on deck. Over on Hallmark there are 40 movies, between the original channel and Movies and Mysteries.
In addition to a few recognizable newcomers to holiday movies, you’ll see the regular familiar faces. Personally, I’m looking forward to the Broadway vets making their Christmas movie debuts.
For lists of premieres you can check out these websites: Lifetime’s It’s a Wonderful Lifetime, Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas, and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas.
Hallmark even has an app to track showtimes for the movies you want to see. Here you can find full lists of every Lifetime and Hallmark Christmas movie. What movies are you looking forward to the most?
