Some people are assholes. We know that. And people who are criticizing the Uber Eats commercials with Simone Biles and Jonathan Van Ess are straight up ASSHOLES.
One Million Moms has launched a petition over the ads. In the petition the conservative group claims that Uber Eats is “attempting to brainwash viewers” by featuring the Queer Eye star.
“Instead of making audiences lose their appetite by glamorizing a LGBTQ lifestyle, Uber Eats should focus on what it does and remain neutral on controversial issues,” the petition says. Um… what the actual fuck?
Let me be blunt – this is disgusting that One Million Moms has started a petition. But their ideals and morals are not mine. They need to reevaluate their lives.
Van Ness is an icon – he’s a man that brightens days, stays involved in politics and fighting for what is right, and is an advocate for others. He’s uber talented. He’s flat out a joy.
Simone Biles isn’t taking the petition lying down. Instead, she’s using her platform to respond.
the world we live in makes me sad, but I’d do x1000000 more commercials with you just to piss everyone off! The LGBTQIA will always have my support and feel welcome on my socials🤎 https://t.co/CMOrz0nxFZ

“At Uber Eats, we’re unapologetically committed to representing the flavor spectrum,” they shared in a statement to People. “From tacos to talent, we like it spicy. JVN and Simone serve gymnastic prowess and ferosh self-confidence, qualities millions of moms everywhere can—and do—support.”
One Million Moms needs to go the fuck away. I’m off to order from Uber Eats and support these commercials.
And Jonathan – we love you.
