2020 may not have been the best year, but Taylor Swift sure knows how to make it better.
As we all know, Taylor‘s masters had been bought by Scooter Braun and it made it so people like me – die hard Swifties – would not buy any of her old music. I refuse to contribute to putting money in that man’s pocket. And then Scooter sold them to an investment firm and well, ugh.
Then Taylor posted a pic on her Instagram the other day that got us all talking.
Why would that have us talking? Because Taylor had used that caption earlier in the year when she was teasing her music, only we didn’t know it.
And then last night on the American Music Awards, Taylor told us all what she’s up to. She’s started the process of rerecording her music.
“The reason I’m not there tonight is I’m actually re-recording all of my old music in the studio where we originally recorded it,” she said. “So it’s been amazing and I can’t wait for you to hear it. But, have a great night. I love you so much and thank you, thank you, thank you guys.”
To make things even better, she’s in the studio where she previously recorded the music!
When @TaylorSwift13 tells us there’s “not a lot going on at the moment” but then accepts her Artist of the Year in the recording studio…. #AMAs pic.twitter.com/JCRHUX3rEN

We’re so excited! We can’t wait to hear all the music and examine everything that Taylor puts out, because you know that she’s gonna be dropping easter eggs left and right.
We just have to catch onto them.
Are you excited?
