We might have more or less given up on regularly covering the Arrowverse – there’s so much better content out there, we said what we said, but we’re still here to support the ladies of the Arrowverse in their wins, and this is a definite win. Azie Tesfai is set to become the first actor involved with any of this shows to actually get the title of ‘writer.’
That’s right, Tesfai is set to co-write the 12th episode of Supergirl‘s last season.
“It’s been such an honor to play Kelly Olsen, a BIPOC and queer character in the DC universe,” Tesfai said in a statement to Deadline. “Working in our amazing writers room and co-writing an episode has been an immensely educational and empowering experience. Writing is such a passion for me and I’m excited to continue on this creative journey.”
The Supergirl episode that Azie Tesfai is co-writing will be directed by none other than David Ramsey, who played much-loved character John Diggle in Arrow.
Now, I don’t know about you, but this makes me want to tune in, doesn’t it?
