Look, I can admit when I liked something that I normally don’t. And when it comes right down to it – this episode of Country Comfort wasn’t bad. It didn’t make me want to bang my head into a wall repeatedly and ask what the fuck I was watching.
And I haven’t even had anything to drink – well alcoholic wise. Always drink water and hydrate kiddos.
Bailey has started to fit right in this family. The kids love her. She loves them. Chloe has gone out for the lead in the school play and she got the part. Cute little Chloe, who can basically be excused for anything is touting the fact that she won the part a little snotty, so Bailey reminds her that a true winner, wins with grace.
Bailey needs to remember that as Dylan walks in and tells her that she’s in the top 5 for the audition she had at the record company. Dylan tells her she’s soon to be the biggest nobodies of all time. That kid has a way with words. I mean he coulda just lead with Boone didn’t make it. But leave it to Chloe to put her in her place and ask. her what happened to winning with grace.
Beau walks in and Chloe tell him that she got the lead in the play. and he’s excited. He’s a good Dad and loves his family. The kids tell him that Bailey also placed in her top five. Beau wants to take them all out. Bailey wants to go rub her winning in Boones a face, so she wants to go to Tootsies. Beau’s like its comforting to be back in the place that Bailey spent 9 years of her life preparing to take care of his kids.
You know, a bar.
Chloe asks Beau why he’s eating so much, cause man is putting everything back. He tells her that Summer put them on a break and he’s frustrated. I mean yes, you can’t explain to a little girl that you’re being sexually frozen out. But Chloe is also a child and has a lot of questions – so of course she asks why they are on a break. She’s asking all sorts of questions and Beau answers til he can’t anymore. Then of course he taps in Bailey – the queen of analogies. She says that Summer doesn’t want to share her toys anymore and I can’t stop laughing.
That’s one way of putting it.
Boone walks in and it is Bailey’s chance to rub in his face how good she’s doing. And if she was smart, she would do just that. He deserves to have it rubbed in that she’s fine without him. But Lord, be plays her like a fiddle and it’s kinda gross to watch. I feel like Bailey needs to be stronger and she acts like she is and then she’s swayed by a man.
Bailey goes towards the stage and Boone sees her. Boone says it is good that Baileys there. And that should be her first clue to run. Boone says that Paisley is leaving to go sing for someone on tour. Bailey is trying to spill her news, but Boone being all dramatic and he says there is just a lot of lows for him that week.
Let’s be real, he’s been with Bailey long enough that he knows how to crush her. He says he didn’t make the Rocky Top competition, knowing damn well she did. You can’t convince me that Boone didn’t know she made it and is playing on her heart strings. Boone announces that he’s giving up on his dream, that night is his last gig.
Please. Play the heartstrings dude. When Bailey won’t tell him the news, Cassidy stands up and tells him the news. Bailey made it.
Boone tells her that she’s gonna crush it and I want to stand up and scream at her that he’s playing on her heart. She feels bad and says they should get the band get back together. The kids are pissed, hell I am pissed.
Beau says to all the kids to stay out of it. He says she’s grown and can make her own choices. Ummm… where’s he been. She can not. Cassidy is trying to get Beau to get involved but he’s insistent that they don’t.
Tucker says when someone gets in trouble, you get involved. Beau says that’s only about family, but the kids counter that Bailey is family. They can’t go and get Bailey. They have to let her just do her thing.
When Bailey gets home she catches Beau at the table, binging a cake. I mean I am with him – carbs are not a bad thing. Beau won’t stop eating the cake. He wants to know if Summer is agonizing over missing him. and I am thinking shouldn’t he be excited he got rid of her. He misses her though and I am thinking all the sugar has fried his brain.
A phone beeps and Beau thinks that Summer called. It’s quite sad how he tries to play it off, but also how sad he is when it’s not her. It isn’t even his phone – it’s Bailey’s and it is Boone making sure she got home ok. Beau says the family won’t dive into her personal life, even though Bailey dove into his. That’s a clue everyone is about to get involved. Though Bailey apologizes for getting involved, she got involved cause she cared.
Beau wants to know why summer is “A CHURCH GOING” girlfriend, when they’ve already slept together. Bailey says that Summer stopped giving “free samples” in hopes of getting the entire box. Beau takes that as she’s manipulating him and he’s not wrong. A vagina is very good to control a situation. But when you call people out, you’re going to get truth too.
Beau says thats just like what Boone did to her. Boone played on her heart strings. He knew before hand that she had gotten the top five and he played her heart. Bailey realizes that she was manipulated. Beau slides her the cake. That’s true friendship there – giving carbs as needed.
The next morning, Beau says he was wrong to get involved. and asks to not tell the kids. Bailey asks if she looks good enough to kick Boone out and he says it is a good dumping outfit. Bailey tells him to change and he says no, he’s not going to Summers. Beaus like i am going to run off frustration. With all the food he’s eating cause of all his sexual frustration, he better run across the country.
Cassidy and Chloe walk into the kitchen as she leaves. She says she’s giving Boone the boot. Dylan walks in and says she knew she was coming to her senses, and you can’t help but want to hug him – cause he’s not too bright. She’s kicking no one to the curb.
But Bailey is determined to be strong. Chloe says those smoking eyes of Boone’s are dangerous. Dylan encourages her that she’s a good solo act. . Chloe tries to keep her mad by telling her that he hair looks flat and those jeans aren’t doing her any favors.
All of them want her to dump Boone, but apparently none of them get who she is.
She’s strong for a second – dumping him and telling him that she knows he’s manipulating her. I mean, I don’t believe this shit, but Bailey is falling for it. Luckily Cassidy is eavesdropping and she calls his ass out when Bailey starts falling for this shit. She reminds that he dumped her once – he’ll do it again. Cassidy tells Boone that if he loves her he’ll walk away.
And then storms off. She walks in the house and tells her brothers and sister that Bailey caved, but doesn’t realize that her Dad is there. Shortest run ever. He wants to discipline he for getting involved, but before he knows it, Bailey runs in and tells her that it wwasn’t her right to get involved.
But Boone did leave. And she’s broken. She’s in her room crying and I shoulda known that we’d gone too long without someone breaking into song.
The kids are outside her door singing her some Kelly Clarkson. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…
It’s the same song Bailey sang to Cassidy in the barn when they first met. They are giving Bailey a pep talk. Who woulda known Cassidy has it in her, but the kid does. Bailey says that her heart gets in the way of her head. Bailey says Beau was right. Beau is outed that he got involved.
He says that he got involved that she’s family. It’s the first time that he says it so I have to admit. I was touched. Cause maybe then we’ll get over the weirdness of their relationship. It’s not chemistry. They don’t have any.
In the midst of all this – the bar calls and wants Bailey to come in and sing. And hey, she’s crushing it, until Boone comes in. Everyone goes silent when Bailey goes silent.
He swears that he wasn’t manipulating her. He swears he loves her. I swear he is a liar.
And he takes it really far, cause the man gets down on one knee. Lord he takes this shit too far.
