The official Dune main trailer was released this morning, and if you were excited for the movie before, you’re probably ten times as excited now. Surprisingly, the trailer did something else – it explained the story in a way that even people who don’t know the story and might have felt like it was a bit too complicated for them, probably found that excitement within themselves. It really was that good a trailer.
In fact, it was good enough that I had feelings other than Oscar Isaac is so hot, how is he so hot, omg this is way too much for me to take. I also thought Jason Momoa is so hot, how is he so hot, omg this is way too much for me to take. And Zendaya is so hot, how is she so hot, omg this is way too much for me to take. So, you know …that was a lot. And I even had some feelings about Timothée Chalamet‘s Paul, even if they weren’t about how hot he was, sorry.
Basically, what I’m saying is it was a really good trailer and whether you’re convinced about the movie or not, you should probably check it out:
Oscar nominee Denis Villeneuve (“Arrival,” “Blade Runner 2049”) directs Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Dune,” the big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal bestseller of the same name.
A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, “Dune” tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.
Dune is slated to be released in select theaters in 2D and 3D and IMAX and on HBO Max on October 22, 2021.
