Do you watch Gossip Girl? If you don’t, you should. I know that some people feel an allegiance to the original, but this one doesn’t disrespect the original. It stands on it’s own two feet.
And one thing that I love about the reboot is that it is diverse and that it isn’t afraid to approach any subject. Sure the teachers are all sorts of creepy and this past episode Kate helped set women back like a decade, but I am holding out for the satisfaction that I will feel one day when Gossip Girl is found out.
I love learning things about the characters and we did this week. Monet is a lesbian and we applaud this. Granted, we don’t like Monet, because the whole being pure evil thing, but we do love that Savannah Smith, who plays Monet addressed the speculation about her character.
“So yea, she’s into girls,” Savannah tweeted, before adding, “And only girls.”
Monet may not be our favorite character, because she is so mean, but she did talk about just that with Essence.
“Monet is a very complex character. In the first few episodes, you’ll see her on the surface level, but you can tell that there’s a reason she acts the way she does.” she said.
We can’t wait to find out cause we really don’t understand how anyone is as cold as her and Luna are.
