Justin Timberlake used to be one of my celebrity crushes. As time went on and yes, hindsight is 20/20, I realized that he really didn’t give a fuck about bringing women down in order to further is career. And yes, I am talking about all the shit that he did to Britney.
Sorry, not sorry.
It’s sad, I know, that what Justin does or did, is something that I will equate with NSync. I am sure the rest of the guys are great or at least decent human beings, but if we’re being honest – I don’t care.
I still think that NSYNC and Justin could have done better. We all could have.
Lance Bass was on Heather Dubrow‘s podcast and the subject of Britney came up.
“I haven’t spoken to her for years. We’ve been kept away from each other for quite a while,” Bass claimed on the podcast. “I don’t know exactly what she needs but I do know that she, to me — [from] what I see — is sane enough to pick her own people.”
Like I am glad that he stood up for her and stuff, that’s not an issue.
“I believe that she needs to be away from the dad,” Bass continued. “She needs to pick her own people running this conservatorship, if she even needs one, especially when choosing her lawyer. To me, there’s a bigger picture here. … The main thing that I’m concerned about is the court systems and this judge. If this is really true, then we have to look at this judge, right? Because that means that they’re corrupt. I don’t know, it’s scary.”
And whereas we all don’t know everything, I do believe everything Britney has said. And I do believe that we need to #FreeBritney.
But ‘NSYNC tweeting about Britney feels disingenuous. And the band did tweet about her.

And I am not the only person that felt like it was just too little, too late.
