I love Garrett Hedlund and Emma Roberts as a couple. There is just something about them that fits. You see pictures of them together and they just look happy. The two share a son, who is seven months old and since the birth of their son they just look happier.
And I love seeing people happy.
Garrett was talking to TooFab and said that the two bonded in the pandemic over an Amazon show. And what show was that?
“There were two little plus sides to the pandemic. One was was getting to binge watch Modern Love, it was one of my favorite things to watch throughout the whole pandemic,” the actor said.
“I mean, never held my gal’s hand tighter or held her closer,” he added. “And we never wanted it to end.”
Hedlund stars in season two of Modern Love, traveling during the pandemic to film his episode in Upstate New York.
His episode is entitled, “In the Waiting Room of Estranged Spouses,” where he stars opposite Anna Paquin the pair bond after they realize their husbands are cheating on them with each other.
He talked with Too Fab about how communication is an important part of a relationship.
“Being able to communicate, vulnerable moments and all the above,” he said. “In this situation or what kind of drew me to this character was, in an interview that I’d heard with the actual guy, it sounded like he kind of felt undeserving of love, which is rare for one to think a soldier would feel. Somebody who fought for their country and comes back and is capable of so much, but it can still feel undeserving of love, and I think that’s an emotion that [director] John Crowley really want to explore.”
I mean, we’ve seen it and aren’t allowed to comment about the second season of Modern Love yet, but it is really good.
Season 2 of Modern Love drops August 13 on Amazon’s Prime Video.
