We’re here again! Chicago Party Aunt 1×05 “Halloweener Circle” shows us a very crazy Halloween night in which everything goes absolutely wrong during… you guess? A party! Time for review!
Here we go!
Halloween works miracles and in Chicago Party Aunt 1×05 “Halloweener Circle” we saw a pretty big one: Gideon and Diane sharing anecdotes and laughs together. Gideon was not in the best of times and he needed to prove to himself that he’s a fun guy and that he could be crazy and partying and… much more like Diane.
And Diane… she’s at a party that she loves so…she’s on fire! It’s the perfect match for her and Gideon to be friends… or not. Everything seemed to be going perfectly fine but, but everything goes wrong when Diane talks too much and tells Gideon’s mother that he’s gay. She didn’t do it with bad intentions and she didn’t want to cause a problem between them but… sometimes her impulsiveness does its thing and her big mouth does the rest.
Diane had no right to tell Gideon’s mother anything or say what he should or shouldn’t do. Her intentions are good and she just wants Gideon to be who he is but that is a very personal matter that is not her business. I mean, coming out is a decision that only Gideon can make.
Fortunately, in our society we can live and love whoever we want but that also means that we must have the choice to let the world and their loved ones know it at the time that we see fit and no one has the right to say anything about it. So Diane has crossed a line in Chicago Party Aunt 1×05 “Halloweener Circle” and she knows it. That is, when everyone tells her how wrong she is, she accepts that she was wrong, which honors her because not everyone is capable of doing it.
So she tries to apologize to Gideon in every way possible… but if a fragile camaraderie grew between them in Chicago Party Aunt 1×05 “Halloweener Circle,” this broke it before it could get strong. Gideon and Diane continue as usual: working together but not having a relationship outside of work.
Diane took away from Gideon a decision that was only his and prevented him from choosing when he felt comfortable coming out … and it is something that no one should do or have an excuse, although Gideon knows that she didn’t do it on purpose or with bad intention. That’s why he forgives her … more or less.
As for Daniel, he decides to take the plunge and have his first affair in Chicago Party Aunt 1×05 “Halloweener Circle” but nothing turns out as he expected. Everything that could go wrong is even worse. And he doesn’t know how … to approach the guys and show that he’s interested. Daniel is struggling with his own shyness and insecurity as we all have ever done but he will learn.
