Twitter is a weird place. Every single time that I log in, I am wondering what the fuck is going to set me off or make me cry or make me so angry, I am going to loose my shit. Twitter is the place that everyone seems to feel free to go off about anything.
If we’re being honest, I rarely find it to be a happy place. It is anxiety inducing, especially because Twitter is the master of clickbait. You log in and you see trending topics on the side of the account and it’s so vague.
So vague that you have a mini heart attack when you log onto Twitter and you see your favorite celebrities trending. It’s a mix of what did they do? What happened? And then you have a heart attack questioning if they passed away.
And you just don’t do that with an institution like Betty White.
She’s an American icon. An actress that we love, admire, and find joy in. And today, the cesspool that is Twitter decided to make her trend.
And like we’re going to need warnings from now on – like disclaimers that a person hasn’t passed away. The internet had a lot of bad jokes about her trending, but
SHE NEEDS TO LIVE FOREVER
2021 is almost over so WHO’S IN CHARGE OF BUBBLE-WRAPPING BETTY WHITE pic.twitter.com/p64FkLJSqB

TWITTER NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE
dammit @Twitter you need to put a message UNDER Betty White’s name when she trends so we don’t get scared half to death.

Betty White is turning 100 in January. We’re thankful for her and the joy that she’s given us over the years. Not thankful for those that made us worry she wasn’t okay. Like, do better.
Friends don’t makes friends panic for no reason. There is enough in this world to worry about.
