The Sex Life of College Girls has definitely been one of the best shows of 2021. It’s the kinda of show that makes you think and remember that we all don’t have things figured out, but what we can do is live our lives and live our truths.
And our college years are where we start to figure a lot of things out. It’s the moments in life that we start to see what we want, discover who we are and learn how to live on our own. And one thing that you can guarantee in College is that your friends will change you.
Coming from the mind of Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, The Sex Lives of College Girls tells the story of four college freshman living out their first year. The actresses Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp, and Alyah Chanelle Scott, are pretty fucking amazing in the show.
Along with the leads, the show features Midori Francis, Gavin Leatherwood, Chris Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Lauren Spencer, and Renika Williams all as series regulars.
The series was picked up for a second season by HBO Max.
“Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble have created and written a show that is full of heart, female friendships, and awkward naked parties,” said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content, HBO Max, said in a statement. “We are delighted that this comic, honest portrayal of the college condition has resonated for everyone, whether they had sex in college or not. We can’t wait to see where these uniquely complex yet relatable characters will go next.”
