The story of Elizabeth Holmes has fascinated and angered us. The disgraced founder of Theranos, a company once valued at 9 billion dollars, that was a fraud. Theranos, a now-defunct health technology company, claimed that they had developed a rapid blood tests, which allegedly required small amounts of blood, and it was proven to be false.
Hulu described the series as, “an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. How did the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye?”
The Dropout will premiere on March 3rd, 2022, with three episodes dropping that day. Additional episodes will drop weekly.
Amanda Seyfried stars as Elizabeth Holmes and Naveen Andrews stars as Sunny Balwani. Executive producing The Dropout are showrunner Elizabeth Meriwether, along with Liz Heldens, Liz Hannah, Katherine Pope, Rebecca Jarvis, Victoria Thompson and Taylor Dunn.
Michael Showalter will direct multiple episodes and is also serving as an executive producer.
