Look, if you’re going to ever put Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson in a holiday action-comedy together, which some are calling a holiday event, we’re going to need something specific.
A sweater off.
It can be understated, but we’re gonna need some great sweater action going on here. We’re going to need some cable knit. some cashmere, some amazing looks. Don’t blame us, we’re making the request on behalf of most of the social mediasphere.
The movie is set to film this year, though if we’re being honest, we don’t really count on “filming” until it happens. Why? It’s a pandemic. It’s nothing against anyone or anything. Shit happens.
According to Deadline, “It is a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.” Specific plot points are being kept under wraps.
And we’re gonna reiterate that we’re going to need some sweater action in those plot points.
The film was part of a competitive bidding war and landed at Amazon Studios with Jake Kasdan, is set to direct.
The movie is set for a holiday 2023 release as of now. We’re okay with that – gives us something to look forward to.
Johnson had previously announced his involvement back in June.
