One of the great things about a movie releasing is all of the press that comes along with it. We get to hear stories, learn more about the characters and more about the preparation for taking on the role.
It’s part of the fun.
Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg are making the rounds doing press for Uncharted and we’ve gotten to learn a lot. One of the best things is that we’ve gotten to learn how Tom prepared for the role.
Several outlets have spoken to Tom about his bartending prowess. While on Sirius XM he was asked the question and he made us laugh, and also regret not going to bars in London.
“One of my favorite things about what we do for a living is when you get the opportunity to learn a new skill for a reason, other than you just want to give it a go,” he explained. “So I went to a bartending school. I ended up doing a few shifts at this bar in London, which was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. And it’s a nice little set piece in the movie.”
“As word spread around town and people started figuring out that ‘apparently Tom Holland’s bartending at this bar,’ then the general manager started figuring it out,” Tom continued. “Eventually, I sort of got kicked out.”
He made us laugh with adding, “I have been back to the bar, but it’s a little bit of a rocky relationship at the minute. I’ve been giving them a lot of press though. So they just shut up and let me back.”
He’s the best. And if anyone ever hears of him bartending, share with all of us.
