This season of Upload has me a little confused and also a little upset that we only have seven episodes.
But my feelings aside, lets get to it.
Returning to a life that you’ve left behind isn’t an easy thing. Sometimes it’s the scariest thing. Why? Because you end up having to face the things that you’ve left behind and that isn’t always easy.
As a matter of fact it’s probably one of the most difficult things a person will have to do.
Nora heading back into the city with Ivan, you can tell she’s not thrilled, but she’s willing to do what it takes. Ivan’s kinda creepy AF, but I think Nora feels like she needs to prove herself and do whatever it takes.
And then again, I think that she feels like she has no choice but to do what is asked of her.
But I also believe that she can’t wait to see Nathan.
Nathan isn’t having the easiest time. He wants to make a difference in life and he can’t from where he is. His Mom is having trouble, she can’t make rent and he really wishes that he could do something. Ingrid suggests that she get a job.

I feel bad for Nathan because he has no choice but to keep the fact that he has his memories, because he has a lot of questions that he should be able to ask. Like where is the money from his code? Why is his Mom not being taken care of? There has to be a lot more people involved in all of this shit and to be honest, I want everyone that screwed up his life to be brought to justice.
Including Ingrid, who is absolutely disgusting.
Ingrid is faking that she is dead so that she can be with Nathan. So am I sorry that she’s experiencing side effects? Nope. Not at all. And the best part was that the toilet was the one who told her that she has a UTI. She can’t keep up the lie forever. I don’t care what she thinks.
Ingrid has no thoughts about other peoples emotions. None at all. She takes everything for granted. I totally believe that she’s in on keeping Nathan’s money and that she’s in Lakeview just to keep track of him. She’s a miserable human being and I don’t care what anyone says – we’re allowed to not like her.
So, yes, there was a sigh of relief to me when she hired someone to take her place for the day so that she could go out. And why did I love this? Because well, for once she wasn’t such a miserable person.
At Lakeview, Nathan and Luke are busy playing Robin Hood. Nathan has the pen knife and is working on stealing gigs from the rich and giving to the 2G people. It’s nice to see, because these people deserve it.
But what he doesn’t know is that there is a detective who is trying to see what is going on and make sure that his all stops. No one knows what he’s looking for, but everyone is wondering what he is.
And him being there leads to the knowledge that there is a pen knife missing. They’re able to track it to the poker room, and Nora knows that it’s Nathan. So as dude leaves her interview, she hears what is going on and is able to reprogram the computer to make sure that Ingrid wins the hand. Nathan’s also able to plant the pen knife on someone else.
The smile on Nora’s face when she is able to help him, it reminds me of the first season and their ease around each other. It’s something I have missed seeing – that joy. Granted, Nathan doesn’t know she’s back, but even seeing it on one of their faces is good enough for me, for now.

The only thing that scares me about this situation is how Nathan will think that Ingrid has changed. He’s happy that she’s helped him. He’s happy that she’s been this person that has brought him joy, when normally he’s just someone that she tolerates.
And I am not sure why it is that Nathan puts up with her – except she keeps him living the high life at Lake View. I am also not sure why it is that Ingrid settles when she knows that he doesn’t like her. She’s up to something or her self esteem is so low she doesn’t know the difference.
Either way both deserve more and well, we all deserve Nathan and Nora together.
OTHER THOUGHTS
- The boss lady watching the naked uploads shower is gross. Lucy you nasty.
- Aleesha is legitimately the most amazing. She makes me LOL every episode. I love her sass.
- Don’t like the detective. He’s catching on to way too much shit.
- The intern changing Nora’s avatar… not cool.
- I really dislike Ingrid.
- Nora getting the programming job and Matteo’s reaction. I don’t trust him, nor do I like his reaction.
Season 2 of Upload is streaming now on Amazon Prime.
