AMC knows how to build the suspense when they have a show coming. It feels like we’ve been waiting forever to get the official trailer for Interview with the Vampire. The series, which is of course based on the book by the late Anne Rice, is set to release sometime this fall. From what we’ve seen so far, this adaptation is going to be a much more modern take on the books.

Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid have been cast as Louis and Lestat, respectively. We’ve been keeping our eyes on all the news surrounding this series, and we’re impatiently awaiting the trailer. Based on the postings by the official @Immortal_AMC Twitter account, we’re pretty sure it’s going to be released at Comic-Con during their panel on July 23. We did, however, get a new mini teaser.
Back in April, there was a teaser released along with some photos, but we still want more. The first teaser that was released gave us a subtle introduction to Lestat. We couldn’t see his face or anything, but we still knew it was him. The latest teaser that was released now gives us an introduction to Daniel Molloy, the interviewer played by Eric Bogosian, as he prepares to begin his chat with Louis (Anderson).
Like the Lestat teaser, this one doesn’t give us Louis’s full face. We get him in profile as he turns to answer Molloy’s question: “So. Mister du Lac. How long have you been dead?” We’re not complaining because this is just letting us know the official trailer will soon be here.
