November 4, 2022 sounds like our birthday! Enola Holmes 2 will hit our screens and after everything we enjoyed Enola Holmes, this second part is here to brighten up the year. Netflix not only announced the premiere date, but also released the first look of the film. Ready?
Here we go!
According to the official synopsis, fresh off the triumph of solving her first case, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) follows in the footsteps of her famous brother, Sherlock (Henry Cavill), and opens her own agency — only to find that life as a female detective-for-hire isn’t as easy as it seems. Resigned to accepting the cold realities of adulthood, she is about to close shop when a penniless matchstick girl offers Enola her first official job: to find her missing sister.
But this case proves to be far more puzzling than expected, as Enola is thrown into a dangerous new world — from London’s sinister factories and colorful music halls, to the highest echelons of society and 221B Baker Street itself. As the sparks of a deadly conspiracy ignite, Enola must call upon the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel her mystery. The game, it seems, has found its feet again!
Honestly, this sounds like a mix of Enola Holmes and Bridgerton with Enola fighting for women’s rights like Eloise and Penelope and it’s one of the best ideas ever! We can’t wait to see our lady Enola kicking ass and beating misogynistic men at his own game.
Enola Holmes 2 is directed by Harry Bradbeer, with a screenplay by Jack Thorne and story by Harry Bradbeer & Jack Thorne. Along with new friends and foes, it stars Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, David Thewlis, Louis Partridge, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Helena Bonham Carter.
In addition to this incredible surprise, Netflix also released the first look of Enola Holmes 2.
In the images we can see Enola arrested and it seems that she has just been to a dance of high society, given her hairstyle and her dress. Also, Tewkesbury is back to team up with Enola and that means our ship rises! He is not the only one who joins in on Enola’s adventures because his mother and his brother Sherlock seem to be involved as well. Yeah, WE LOVE IT!
Enola Holmes 2 is coming to Netflix on November 4.
