In an effort to build a space for queer people like myself, every Sunday I’ll be posting interviews, opinion pieces, listicles, reviews, and more focused on the LGBT community (and occasionally about the Latinx community since I am Latinx.) Welcome to Queerly Not Straight! Enjoy and leave a comment below if you have a suggestion for what I should cover next.
Webtoons are another avenue for you to find LGBTQ content to consume. From romance to sci-fi and slice of life, there’s a little bit of something for everyone from some of the most creative minds out there.
And since we loved doing our first, second, and third list of LGBTQ+ webtoons you should check out, we wanted to make another list to supply you with even more content! So check out our list of 7 more LGBTQ+ webtoons you should be reading in 2022!
And when you’re done, make sure to tell your friends and show the authors some love. You never know what could happen if the attention they get is far and wide….maybe enough to get them a Netflix deal (looking at you Heartstopper) or something that could change this creator’s life!
Enjoy!
1. High Class Homos by Momozerii (Comedy)
Synopsis: Princess Sapphia of Mytilene is not into princes. So, when her parents start putting the heat on her to get hitched, she enlists the help of her equally gay best friend, Prince August of Phthia. But will these two royals be able to pull off a convincing sham marriage? More importantly, will Sapphia ever land a date with the castle maids? Follow these high class homos as they navigate life, love, and (occasionally) their actual jobs.
Why You Should Read: If the title isn’t enough to convince you to read this Webtoon then how about two besties trying to live their best gay lives while living up to the expectations of the kingdoms. Expect hijinxs, grumpy/sunshine dynamics, and terrible flirting that makes you wonder how they even make it through their days.

2. What Are the Chances by Chantsky (Romance)
Synopsis: Tricia believes that love is overrated. But when Elise walked in on the family bookshop she’s working at, things began to change. After the encounter, she began seeing memories from her previous life and dreams about Elise every night. Who was Tricia in Elise’s life before? She feels like the universe keeps playing a game with her. Witness this unlikely journey of friendship, acceptance, love and of life and death.
Why You Should Read: If you like a little gay panic then this is the Webtoon for you. Well, a lot of gay panic. And while yes, the romance is what draws you in, it’s the small bits of humor and friendship that really lock you into place. Also, it’s so cheesy at moments and you can tell that this creator has a great sense of humor and quite possibly reads fanfiction. All good points for us.

3. Castle Swimmer by Wendy Lian Martin (Fantasy)
Synopsis: What happens when your entire life is ruled by a prophecy – your future foretold by people you’ve never met, who died long before you were born. Such is the story of two young sea creatures. One believed to be a guiding light for his people, a Beacon who will lead them to a bright, prosperous future. The other is a teenage prince for who’s destiny is to KILL the Beacon so that HIS own people might thrive. When both reject the course set for them, it leads to a raucous adventure as big and unpredictable as the ocean itself – and a romance that nobody could have predicted.
Why You Should Read: For such a heavy sounding synopsis, this Webtoon is actually really funny. The leads are actual disasters that had me laughing while also wanting to wrap them in blankets and protect them from the world and the prophecies that try to dictate their lives. And when they blush at each other it just makes you want to swoon and hope that everything goes well for them.

4. Strawberry Smoothie by _Ramyune_ (Slice of Life)
Synopsis: It all started with a strawberry smoothie…. Meet Fay and Daynan. Fay is a rather frantic business student whose just trying to make it out alive via 5 cups of coffee a day, while Daynan is a laid back music lover who spends most of her time practicing songs and performing at concerts with her band. What happens when these two crazy college kids wind up running into each other?
Why You Should Read: Even though this Webtoon is relatively new, I love the art style and the gay panic that happens when the leads literally clash. Also, Fay is the cutest character ever! Seriously, she must be protected at all costs and Daynan will hopefully get a chance to do that as the story comes along.

5. The Prince of Southland by Chris Geroux (Romance)
Synopsis: Donnie Ali’s shiny reputation is soiled the night he kissed an android, for romantic relationships with droids are deemed too dangerous and forbidden. But after his press release, another potential scandal emerges when he saves Jensen, a man on the run from an unknown assailant. Now living under the same roof, and paparazzi on every corner, could this romance be even more disastrous than his first?
Why You Should Read: First and foremost, I love and appreciate a Webtoon that gives me worldbuilding that draws me in without overwhelming me. And this Webtoon manages to balance that with the romance perfectly. But the moment that got me going, “Yes, I’m going to read this.” is when one of the leads had the realization the other was attractive and had that “oh” moment. Truly glorious.

6. Fatal Kiss by riadevim (Romance)
Synopsis: What would you do if your crush was a monster? When Raegan gets accepted into her dream high school far from her home, she is thrown into a supernatural world where she must make an impossible choice between survival and benevolence.
Why You Should Read: Ahhhhhhh more gay panic with a healthy dose of supernatural goodness. Is there anything else we need? Well, more supernatural stuff with women figuring out things, surviving supernatural stuff, and finding love. Also, there’s height difference between the leads if that’s your weakness. It sure as hell is mine. And sharing a dorm room because of course they are.

7. His Strawberry Lips by fuzz_yy (Romance)
Synopsis: Asa is a popular college student, who’s seriously lacking in academic skills. When his longtime girlfriend breaks up with him suddenly, he’s in desperate need of a new roommate, but can’t find anyone. His situation forces him to be housemates with Kris, a cold (and slightly dangerous) boy, who hates him. Accidentally, Asa learns of Kris’ secret crush on his friend Jake, and agrees to help him in exchange for a favor. But what will happen when they begin to fall for each other instead?
Why You Should Read: First off, from what I can tell, this is a revamp of the creators original Webtoon with updated designs. That’s something important to know but not something that holds you back. Also, their first meeting is the building blocks of a crazy amount of development that goes from enemies to more.
