The Calling has already arrived on Peacock! This cop series with a spiritual twist that hooks you is one of our new favorite shows. We sat down with Karen Robinson and Michael Mosley to talk about their characters and what to expect from them. Ready?
Here we go!
The Calling tells the story of NYPD Detective Avraham Avraham, whose belief in mankind is his superpower when it comes to uncovering the truth. Guided by a deep sense of spirituality and religious principles, Avraham is left to question his own humanity when a seemingly routine investigation turns upside down.
And if the synopsis is intriguing, the trailer is not far behind!
Yeah, we know we got your attention and you can’t wait to find out more, so here’s our interview with Karen Robinson and Michael Mosley.
The Calling has a unique story in a world full of cop shows. There’s something about this Peacock’s series that draws you in from the first second, so we wanted to know what drew Karen Robinson and Michael Mosley most to the story and such complex characters as Captain Kathleen Davies and Detective Earl Malzone. And we weren’t expecting the answer they gave at all but we loved it.
Just as we liked the way they both described their characters because it shows that they know them perfectly. That is, they are aware of their lights and shadows and can understand them and also criticize their actions. They are aware of all the edges of the characters they play and that is part of the reason why they can bring them to life so brilliantly.
Of course, we couldn’t say goodbye without trying to get Karen Robinson and Michael Mosley to spill some of the Peacock show’s secrets to us. And we got some goodies for you!
Karen Robinson and Michael Mosley are two of the coolest people we’ve had the pleasure of interviewing. They have incredible chemistry and rapport and are so much fun. We look forward to speaking with them again.
The Calling is available to view on Peacock.
