We’re not really set on a new Zoey 101 movie, because yes, the drama that we know about from the show and well there’s Jamie Lynn Spears. IYKYK.
One person who we don’t really expect to see in any Zoey 101 movie is Austin Butler. Now, we know that he’s a ride or die who doesn’t let all the Hollywood bullshit go to his head, and doesn’t forget where he came from.
He’s also very well trained when dealing with the media, so when asked by Variety about the possibility of being in the movie, he dealt with it in the best way.
“I’m so grateful for all those stepping stones that I had throughout my career. Zoey 101, that was a big turning point for me because it was the first time I was ever a series regular on a show,” Butler said when speaking to Variety. “So I got to be a part of an entire season.”

Butler continued by saying, “I remember getting my first line on a TV show and that was huge for me. You have all these different moments that are pivotal for you.”
The actor was very coy and sweet about the entire situation. He said he was, “going after whatever story that resonates with me. Or whatever director or actors that I want to work with so yeah.”
There are several of the original stars returning for the Zoey 101 movie – Jamie Lynn Spears (Zoey Brooks), Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky), Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews), Matthew Underwood (Logan Reese), Christopher Massey (Michael Barret), Abby Wilde (Stacey Dillsen), and Jack Salvatore (Mark Del Figgalo).
While we’ll wait to see if others are confirmed, but even if Butler doesn’t make an appearance, we’re okay with it.
