We can’t even imagine what it’s like to be a celebrity and making friends. We’d imagine that there is always that thought in your mind of what they want from you (if anything at all).
But, we have to look at it differently. We have to remind ourselves that these are real people, real feelings, and they are facing the same problems that we all are facing in our lives. There are ups and downs, truths and insecurities, good and bad in their lives. Finding a friend, especially one that is true and that is there for you, no matter what, is something that we all try to find in our lives.
For Taylor Swift, one of the friends that she has found, that is there for her unconditionally, is Suki Waterhouse. The superstar gave a comment about their friendship, as well as Waterhouse’s music, for a profile in SSENSE.
“Suki has always seemed like she stepped out of a time machine. Her music is so raw and hopelessly romantic because that’s how she moves through the world,” Swift told the outlet. “When we hang out, I often come away wondering how someone can be simultaneously spontaneous and free—and also preternaturally wise. She is the wildest person I know who I would also trust to keep any secret. You’ll be stressed about something trivial, she’ll just look at you, cigarette in hand, and say ‘Babe, you know none of this actually matters.’ And she’ll be exactly right.”
It sounds like Waterhouse is that unconditional friend for Taylor and that Taylor is that for Waterhouse. We stan friends who are there unconditionally for each other.
