Young Royals Season 3 is coming back to Netflix next week, and though the show was already a hit when it premiered, deservedly so, it feels like post-Red, White and Royal Blue, there might be some new eyes on the Sweedish drama. The show, after all, feels a little bit like the younger version of that, but set in a boarding school.
If you know nothing about it, let us set the picture. Set in the fictional elite boarding school of Hillerska, the plot of Young Royals follows Prince Wilhelm of Sweden and focuses on his romance with fellow student Simon, and the drama their romance causes, particularly once everyone finds out. So, not exactly Red, White and Royal Blue, but RWRB-adjacent. They could be cousins, so to speak. If you liked one, you’ll probably like the other, that’s all we’ll say.
The first two seasons of Young Royals are only 6 episodes long, so you still have plenty of time to catch up before the third season drops.
Here is the trailer for the third and final season of the show:
And here’s ther synopsis:
Wilhelm’s speech has consequences not only in the court but also throughout the school, as Hillerska confronts the worst crisis in the school’s history. The prince and Simon are determined to be together, but what are they willing to sacrifice when realizing that their freedom and love might be at odds with the Royal ideals, traditions, and responsibilities?
The first five episodes of Young Royals Season 3 premiere on Monday, March 11 on Netflix, with the series finale, episode 6, debuting Monday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
