Brooke Carter has a presence. Seeing her on the screen in Damsel, you will notice immediately that she can hold her own and that is definitely something not easy, as the actress was playing opposite Millie Bobby Brown. But the thing is, she has such a presence on the screen, that you’d believe that she’s as seasoned an actress as Brown.
The two could actually pass on sisters and you would definitely believe they are, because they are that convincing.
Damsel tells the story of, “A young woman who thinks she is being married to a perfect prince is thrown into a pit where she discovers she’s not going to be a princess after all, but a sacrifice to appease a bloodthirsty dragon. Trying to survive long enough until someone can save her — she soon realizes that no one is coming and this “damsel” must save herself.”
Carter plays Floria, the younger sister of Brown’s Elodie. When we talked to her about her character she said, “I think my character’s biggest strength is probably her bonds with the family because when Elodie is in trouble, she feels the need to go and help her. Yes, definitely. Then obviously she’s so close with her dad. She always feels like she has to be with him and be by him, and she feels like she has to lighten the mood always to make sure that no one’s upset.”
