Trigger Warning sees Jessica Alba giving us her action star best in the upcoming Netflix movie. Alba stars as Parker, a skilled Special Forces commando who takes ownership of her father’s bar after he suddenly dies. But her devastation at his death turns to suspicion and then rage as she finds out that there is nothing simple about her father’s death.
From what we see in the official trailer, a violent gang has started running rampant in her hometown. And they were involved in the death of her father. Seemingly at the head of all of this is Anthony Michael Hall‘s Ezekiel. He’s a senator with too much influence in her town and with zero understanding of who he’s pissed off by killed Parker’s father.
What follows is Alba absolutely showing her action star chops as she takes down bad guy after bad guy, whether it’s with a knife or bolt cutters. And for those who are ready to brush this off as a cookie cutter action film, how many films like this has Nicolas Cage done where everyone watched? Plenty. That’s how much. So if Alba wants to take a swing at it, go ahead.
