We’re here one more day! In Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper,” a slumber party brings to the surface the latent conflicts between Tory and Sam while Daniel’s world is shaken and the fight to win the Seikai Taikai begins. Ready?

Stepping on Eggshells in Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper”
Tory and Sam’s new bond ends up becoming a problem in Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper” when they can train together but can’t fight. They just dance around each other, like they’re stepping on eggshells, afraid of being the first to attack.
It took them a lot to get to this point, but they did it leaving behind all the conflicts and reproaches to be able to move forward and work together. The problem is that there are still unresolved conflicts between them, they still resent each other for all the history they have and they don’t want to end that fragile peace that has been established between them.
It feels good to be on the same side and be friends for once, the two are afraid that if they fight seriously in the dojo, the conflict will become too familiar and they will return to their old ways, thus breaking the fragile friendship that barely starts putting them together.
However, Johnny realizes in Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper” that this is a problem when the two have to train for the Seikai Taikai and decides to organize the cutest and strangest slumber party ever. And, although Johnny recognized the problem, he was wrong in his conclusions. Tory and Sam don’t need conflict to do their best in the dojo, they need to talk.
They never did. They never really talked about everything that happened and apologized for hurting each other. It was a very delicate topic and the character of both of them always led them to end up fighting every time they tried to talk about it, so when they began to create that fragile friendship, they unconsciously decided to skip the thorny topics, ignore them and talk about everything except that to preserve the fragile bond that was growing between them.
But you can’t cover the Sun with a finger and ignoring problems doesn’t make them go away. So what they needed was to bring those issues to the surface and talk like adults, listen, and forgive each other.
When they finally do that in Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper,” they’re able to give everything they have in the dojo, facing and making each other better, but knowing all the time that it’s not personal and that when the fight on the tatami ends, they will come out of it and continue being friends.
The Past Always Ends Up Coming Back
For his part, in Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper,” Daniel, Chozen, and Amanda discover a big secret from Mr. Miyagi’s past that completely destabilizes Daniel by destroying the pillar on which he built his life. When Daniel discovered that in the past Mr. Miyagi had been a thief and almost beaten someone to death, he could barely believe what he heard. That’s not the man he knew.
Daniel built a whole life and moral values through the honorable figure of Mr. Miyagi. He was a father figure to Daniel and he always felt that they had a special relationship, filled with respect and deep trust, as Mr. Miyagi entrusted him with something as sacred to him as Miyagi-Do.
And now he’s finding out that all of that was a lie. The ground on which he has so firmly trod since he met Mr. Miyagi is shaking because everything he thought he knew about him doesn’t fit with this man with a hidden past.
This person whose past is dark is a stranger to Daniel but not only that, he can’t help but wonder if he really knew Mr. Miyagi and if the relationship they had, the connection they share, was as special as he thought.
At the end of the day, Daniel discovers that Mr. Miyagi kept some important secrets from him about his past, it’s inevitable for Daniel to wonder why Mr. Miyagi didn’t trust him and if what they experienced together was so important to him as for Daniel.
That said, we think that in Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper” Daniel is beginning to discover that there is much more to Mr. Miyagi’s life than Miyagi-Do. This is the first step for him to come down from the pedestal on which he has always put Mr. Miyagi and realize that he is just a man, with his lights and shadows, his successes, and his mistakes.
This will help Daniel understand that there are different ways to approach a fight and that something different from the philosophy and form of Miyagi-Do doesn’t make it bad or worse, just different.
The Need for Violence is the Key
Far away from the Valley, in Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper,” Kreese meets Kim Da-Eun’s students to evaluate who has the material to compete in the Seikai Taikai. And, although the past unites them, their methods clash. While Kim Da-Eun’s method is based on discipline, precision, and ruthlessness, Kreese’s is violence and cruelty at its finest.
Kim Da-Eun prefers not to spill blood if it’s not necessary but Kreese doesn’t mind doing it, in fact, he prefers it. And, although she doesn’t agree and doesn’t fully understand where Kreese is going, Kim Da-Eun gives him a vote of confidence and doesn’t put a stop to his methods.
In Cobra Kai 6×03 “Sleeper,” Kreese is not only looking for a guy who can be violent when necessary but one who needs that violence, who enjoys it and gives him pleasure. Unfortunately for the Miyagi-Do students, Kreese finds exactly what he’s looking for.
And, in some ways, this new student reminds Kreese of Johnny, with all that rage, rebellion, and arrogance inside him, but unlike Johnny, his new student enjoys inflicting harm and needs to do it.
That makes him extremely dangerous, like a shark thirsty for blood. And we don’t like the prospect of someone like that facing off against the characters we love. That being said, the Seikai Taikai is definitely going to be a fierce fight for victory.

- The slumber party was the funniest thing ever! Each moment is better than the previous one.
