As corny as it sounds, we’ll always say that friendship is the best ship. When you find your tribe, you stick with them. You are loyal to them, they are loyal to you. Some people are just meant to be friends.
One of the best celebrity friendships is Emily in Paris stars, Ashley Park and Lily Collins. Everything about seems so real and genuine. They genuinely love being around each other and are the best of friends.
As we all anxiously await the next season of Emily in Paris, we’ve known that press for the actors and show will be ramping up. Ashley Park did a cover shoot for Harper’s Bazaar UK and spoke about her friendship with Collins.
Park said that before the two even met, she thought that Lily seemed really genuine and cool. She felt a connection to Collins, “Lily doesn’t believe me when I tell her this, but a week before the email came in asking me to audition, I’d just started to follow her on Instagram. I normally have a rule that I only follow people I know or have interacted with in some way, but Lily was one of the few I followed because I thought, I like this girl, I like her vibe – she seems really genuine and cool.”
We love Park‘s rule about following on Instagram. We’d love to follow that rule ourselves, but we don’t. We love that Park felt a connection to Collins and followed her. Fate stepped in.
And their friendship has been a light and important to both. Park was new to the Hollywood scene (even though she’s a Broadway star) and spoke about how Collins has helped her navigate it, “It would just have been too much of a whirlwind to do on my own. It was my first big on-screen job, so it was amazing to have the guidance of an ‘older sister’ in an environment that became way more high-stakes than we’d anticipated.”
We can’t wait to see these two back on screen in Emily in Paris, but we’re even more excited that they have each other. Friendship is important and having a true friend that is there for you is the best thing.
