Sometimes you forget how much you miss a television show, but then it airs and all of the feels come back to you. Normally, I am not one for anything suspenseful, because I am terrified of everything. It’s shocking, if you know me, that I would watch and love a show like FOUND. But here we are and I have come to remember, quite quickly, why I thought (and still think) that it is one of the best shows on television.
After last season’s cliffhanger, I definitely thought that Sir had killed Lacey. Lacey seems as though she’s an obstacle for him to get to Gabi. His obsession with Gabi is front and center in everything that he does. But why is it that he’s let Lacey live this entire time? Why is it that she’s been someone that he’s protected from himself, in a way, for all these years? We find a lot of answers very quickly and some take an hour.
But it’s an hour of television that makes us angry, cry, panic, and wonder just how the team of Moseley & Associates will be able to recover from Gabi’s lies and deceit. The thing is though, I wonder if it’s what is happening right now that makes them realize that they are going to need each other now more than ever.

Picking up right where we left off is not something that we always see on television. There always seems to be a time jump, but FOUND knew that we wanted to see what would happen from the very moment that they left off.
Gabi is trying everyone, as she knows they are in danger. No one will answer, except Dhan. He’s able to get Margaret to not eat or drink anything, he’s fine, but Zeke is a different story. Sir is able to get to Zeke and Dhan finds him on the ground, white foam coming out of his mouth.
I think that it was a huge risk for the show to have Zeke being the one that was taken down by Sir. As I watched the ambulance take him out of his home, I gasped. If he was awake, he would have freaked out. This didn’t seem like this could be anything that ended well for him.
But that’s the thing, he needs care. One thing that FOUND has always done well is to make sure that we know that there are mental health issues at play and show us that people can live with them. Zeke’s inability to leave his home has been hard for him, but when we see him waking in the hospital and having one of the worst panic attacks that I have ever seen, I cried. Arlen Escarpeta manages to make us feel an array of emotions for Zeke at all times.
Like I preach all of the time, you won’t become invested in a show unless you become invested in the characters. FOUND has made the viewer invest in all of the characters.
What I found most important about Zeke’s storyline in this episode is that it gives a moment for us to believe that he and his father will be able to find common ground. I can not imagine what it was like for his father to see him in so much pain, but I applauded his father when he made sure that he went home.

One of the characters that I was angry at throughout the episode was Margaret. Now, yes, she has every right to be upset. It’s understandable and it’s believable for her to be irate. My issue with her is that for moments she keeps letting her mask fall and making it about her and her feelings. She needs to remember that this is about Lacey and this is about the missing people out there.
Margaret is right that no one is the person that she thought they were, but that is her included. None of them are, because none of them know who they are without the history of what has happened to them.
To move forward there has to be honesty and for Gabi, that means that she also needs to be honest with Trent. I’m selfishly going to be mad because my ship is going to sink, but it never would have fully set sail the way that it was. Trent has every reason to be angry, but you can tell that he still cares and has feelings for Gabi, because he’s willing to give her 72 hours before he brings her in.
I don’t think that Trent will ever bring her in willingly, because regardless of what she has done, he still cares about her. He was willing to lose his badge for her and that isn’t something that will change easily. He’s angry. But I do believe that he will see why Gabi did what she did and he won’t put her in jail.

I am not justifying what she did. It’s not right. She says that she wants to pay for her crimes, but she bleached down everything that she did and left no trace of her crime. So I am wondering what Gabi really wants to do.
And I do think that what she wants to do is find redemption. For her, that is finding Lacey and bringing her home. It’s bringing Sir down. She is fine with people being mad at her for now and I think that in her head she’s thinking that they won’t be so mad once she finds Lacey.
And that’s what this whole episode is about. We get to see a variety of emotions from everyone on this show. Gabi though, her heart is on her sleeve and so raw right now. She’s destroyed, but she’s so focused because Lacey is her family. Lacey is the only family that she has left.
And so yes, she’s going to do what it will take to bring Lacey home. She’s going to do what it will take to bring everyone together.
The good news is that we find that Lacey is alive, thanks to Zeke. He was able to reconstruct what happened and Lacey was dragged out alive. We then see her with Sir and we find out that the reason that he’s let Lacey live is because he realized she’s his key to getting to Gabi. You can see that Lacey is afraid, and I don’t blame her at all.
She’s been kidnapped. She’s scared. But she was level-headed enough to leave a clue for Gabi, and it reminds us of their closeness.
I do believe that Gabi will bring Lacey home. I, however, believe that this will be a wild ride. However, when is FOUND not a wild ride?

OTHER THOUGHTS
- Finding out Dhan laid the trap for Gabi to catch Sir in the first place… wow
- Lacey’s Mama. I love her and I love the flashbacks to her with Lacey as a child. She’s devoted to her daughter and it’s nice to see that she has that support
- The moments with Zeke and his Dad, I really thought that was important
- How Gabi figured out that payphone number, I will never understand
- But also, go Gabi for figuring it out
- Sir getting all clean and stuff, coulda gone without. But nice to know he colors his beard
