FBI: International Season 4, Episode 2 Preview: ‘The Other Hard Part’

We had some trepidation about the return of FBI: International. If we’re being honest, the fear of change is something that we live with. We have watched FBI: International since the beginning and with all of the change last year – we were not sure we what to expect.

But somehow, magically, its premiere felt like a brand new show and an evolution of the original. We’re not going to lie – we do miss Scott Forrester. It’s something that we don’t think will ever go away. We thought that the show would try to make us feel wrong for that.

But they didn’t.

They aren’t trying to forget the past. They are trying to evolve and are allowing you the chance to invest more in the characters that you’ve loved. As for Wes, their new leader – they are showing you that this man doesn’t have it all together, someone complicated and is sometimes a loose cannon, but he’s going to make these agents the best that they can be.

He’s going to make himself the best that he can be.

It feels like the show that we all love, but a brand new one. FBI: International isn’t trying to make you respect their choices automatically with this new era, they’re trying to earn your respect for a new leader.

As for Jesse Lee Soffer – who plays the Fly Teams new leader? We were a little worried that it was just going to be the same type of character that he played on Chicago P.D. – just an FBI agent in Budapest now. But our worries were for nothing. What he’s done is made Wes Mitchell someone completely unique and we love that.

We can’t wait to see how the show evolves.

“The Other Hard Part” – When a U.S. ambassador is taken hostage at a TV station in the Netherlands alongside 70 civilians, the Fly Team is forced to work quickly to find out who they’re up against. Meanwhile, Wes works to earn the respect of his new team.
