We’ve long loved Chris Wood and Melissa Benoist. The two are fiercely private and we do appreciate that about the two. What we do want to do is see the two of them back on the screen. After all the chemistry between the two is undeniable.
The two are set to star in a new show together – as a couple – in NBC’s Duo. The show was written by Wood with Rina Mimoun as showrunner. If you’ve seen Mistresses, you’ve seen Mimouns work.
The show has a script commitment. Which hey, that alone is a pretty big deal.
In the show, Wood stars as a blue collar worker and Benoist stars as a performer looking for her next break. The path of the two cross and the partnership that they develop will change their lives forever.
It’s described as a family drama. From what we have heard about it, it doesn’t necessarily feel like that, but hey, sometimes you just need to see the show to know. It’s centered around the two person band and how their lives change, as well as the lives of people around them change.
We love a story about the rise to fame and we can’t wait to see what happens with this show. Would it be one that you watched?
