You can’t tell us that Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy are going to be in anything together and not expect us to watch. We are seated – popcorn popped, lights down, snuggled on the couch, seated.
The two will be starring together in The Good Daughter which was picked up straight-to-series by Peacock back in March. The two will play sisters, Samantha and Charlotte Quinn.
The show is based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling novel of the same name. Slaughter wrote all the episodes of the adaptation of her book. She will also produce the adaptation for Fifth Season and Bruna Papandrea‘s Made Up Stories.
Jessica Biel was originally set to star, but left the project. We’re excited for Meghann Fahy to be the one stepping in, as we love her.
The story is about, “Charlotte and Samantha Quinn have spent the last twenty-eight years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence. When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte is the first witness on the scene. Now a lawyer like her father, she’s forced to confront her demons as the case twists through one shocking revelation after another. In the end, she and Samantha wonder if the price of being the good daughter was worth it after all.”
We love a good twist and turn thriller and this is right up our alley.
Steph Green will direct and executive produce all episodes. No word on a release date, but we’ll be paying attention because we can’t wait to watch.
