Team Alfie forever. We said what we said, Emily In Paris.
Emily’s love rectangle is complicated but we know who we are holding out for – Emily and Alfie for the win. Gabriel can go away. Marcello is good for now, but he’s not forever. Alfie though, we can always use more Alfie.
And now we know that we’re getting more of him. Lucien Laviscount, who plays Aflie, has made a deal to rejoin the cast as a series regular for season 5. Yes, that was this writer you heard screaming with excitement over this revelation.
We didn’t get enough of Alfie in Season 4 of Emily in Paris, but we know that was for scheduling reasons. Doesn’t mean that we liked it at all, because we didn’t. We missed Alfie and then we weren’t thrilled when Alfie would show his face every once in awhile and ended up having another girlfriend.
While Alfie may have been one that encouraged Gabriel to go after Emily, we’re willing to overlook that choice that Alfie made.
We know that Alfie is working with Antoine, but what we’re hoping that we’re going to get to see is Alfie really in the midst of things and as a part of the love square. Having Lucien Laviscount back full time is a good thing and one thing we’re excited for.
Season 5 of the hit Netflix show is being written now with the show set to start production this spring.
