NCIS: Sydney Season 2, Episode 2 ‘Fire in the Hole’ takes Evie and DeShawn undercover, in what is one of the most common procedural-ship tropes in the book. And sure, it’s still a little early for these two to be anything more than slightly antagonistic, but truly caring not-so-deep-down partners, but if there’s anything that’s going to push them forward is a little stint undercover.
Especially if they’re playing a couple! Let them be playing a couple, please.
Meanwhile, it looks like Mackey and J.D. will have to work together on the outside, and that’s also another dynamic that has deepened so much more since Mackey opened up to J.D. in episode 1. So we can’t wait to see where that’s going, either. And, in the meantime, we will all ask ourselves what Evie and DeShawn seem to be asking: “What Would Mackey Do?”
