The wait is over: production on House of the Dragon Season 3 has begun in the UK! The news was announced by Emma D’Arcy in a short clip on social media, getting everyone excited.
The new season will consist of eight episodes, and the returning cast includes Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, and Abubakar Salim.
In addition, House of the Dragon Season 3 will feature new additions to the cast. Tommy Flanagan will play Ser Roderick Dustin, and Dan Fogler will play Ser Torrhen Manderly. Previously announced, the cast also includes James Norton as Ormund Hightower.


Clare Kilner, Nina López-Corrado, Andrij Parekh, and Loni Peristere, who will contribute their vision to the development of this new installment, are directing the new episodes. The creative team continues to be led by Ryan Condal, who serves as co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Joining him is George R.R. Martin, also a co-creator, who returns as executive producer, despite his criticisms about Season 2 that get us mad. Other executive producers include Sara Hess, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Vince Gerardis, David Hancock, and Philippa Goslett.
