We loved the TV series Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin starring Adam Devine, and it taught us to appreciate a spin-off and then be mad when it gets cancelled. But it’s also made us want more spin-offs of shows that we love. Pitch Perfect included.
Wouldn’t you know that Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman’s Brownstone Productions is in the process of making a new spin-off? You see, they signed a first-look deal with Universal Television.
One of the two projects that Brownstone has going on is Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols. The show hails from writer Joel Kim Booster.
The logline for the show says it “follows a struggling singer-songwriter whose life completely turns upside down when she finds herself auditioning to be a part of the first all-American K-pop group.”
When it came to Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Brownstone wasn’t involved. For Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols, Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman will both be involved.
We’re looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Is this a show you’d wanna watch?
