We think that we can all agree that when it comes to the queen of easter eggs – that would be Taylor Swift. However, coming in a close second would be author and show runner Jenny Han. If you’re watching The Summer I Turned Pretty, well then you know that it feels like everything means something. We’re not complaining about that though.
We actually love it.
A big part of the show (and we think the easter eggs) is the music that plays through out the show. The soundtrack is first of all, impecible, but also it just feels like it’s giving us clues to what will happen next.
Yesterday, episode six premiered and well, there was so much happening. Those last few minutes though. If you know, well, you know and you know it’s important because Taylor Swift’s False God was playing.
Here’s the soundtrack to The Summier I Turned Pretty, episode six. It’s a good one.
Every Summertime by NIKI
A matter of Trust by Billy Joel
Time After Time by Lennon Stella
Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor
Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root
Be My Baby by The Ronettes
So Much Love by Ronald Dunlap
Bonjour Paris from Funny Face
Rosie/Bye Bye Birdie sung by younger Belly
(we know this isn’t young Belly, but we couldn’t find)
False God by Taylor Swift
What’s your favorite song from this episode? We’re going with False God because it’s Taylor, but we also believe that it’s telling us something. It’s telling us the possibilities between Belly and Conrad.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is streaming now on Prime Video.
