After the end of Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 1 Episode 10 ‘Something Borrowed,’ we’re left holding our breath. The show won’t return with Season 2 for a while, and in the meantime, we can’t help but theorize what happened to Julia and little William after Henry made them touch the stones.
Traveling Genes

With Julia and Henry, nothing could be as easy as coming up with a plan and making it work. In Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 1 Episode 10 ‘Something Borrowed,’ Arch Bug, as always, sticks his nose where it doesn’t belong, and once again, Julia and Henry find themselves at the stones with Bug and his men chasing them. But now it’s not just the two of them. It’s three. What if William can’t travel?
From what we know from Outlander, it’s very likely that he can. After all, he’s the son of two travelers, and if this ability is passed down through generations, it stands to reason that William can travel. After all, Claire can do it, as can Brianna and little Jemmy. But Julia and Henry have no way of knowing for sure.
They don’t even know how the stones work, which is why they didn’t notice the detail that neither of them is carrying a gem as payment. The gems they had disappeared after the first trip. Although they don’t know it, this means that if they cross the stones, they run a high risk of getting lost in them.
However, Julia and Henry don’t have much time to think about what to do. Their enemies are closing in, and Henry sacrifices everything for Julia, William, and Claire. But what will happen from here? Well, the odds aren’t very promising for them. It’s almost impossible for Henry to escape the Grants’ clutches, and if he does, he’d have to go into hiding.

The Price

Also, as we mentioned, William can travel, but without the gems, it’s almost impossible for them to cross to the other side. Plus, thanks to Outlander, we know that Julia and Henry never returned to Claire. So, with that in mind, we just need to know if Julia and William got lost in the stones, appeared in the wrong time, or didn’t even make it. If you’re wondering what we think, our money’s on them not making it.
Besides genetics, the ability to time travel also has to do with there being someone on the other side waiting for you. Someone you need to reach. And while that could be Claire, we know that time and destiny have something huge and different in store for her. So, if we rule out Claire, Julia wouldn’t have anyone on the other side she needed to reach, and if that’s the case, the stones will most likely reject her.
Aside from that, with Season 2 confirmed, we don’t think a main character will just disappear from where the action is—at least, not for long. That wouldn’t make sense. It only makes sense that the story would give us a reason to retain Julia in 1714 Scotland. After all, if you think about it, she has a cover story that would allow her to return to Lovat while she fights to save Henry from wherever he is.
So yeah, this definitely got interesting, and we can’t wait for Season 2 to find out how the story continues!
