This morning I woke up to an inbox filled with press releases and interview requests. Tired and out of coffee, but also with it raining outside, I buckled in for a bad day. Yes, the cynic in me just thought that automatically that meant a bad day. However, when it seems like all is lost, The Hallmark Channel finds a way to remind you that it is Countdown to Christmas season and nothing is ever really lost.
If you’re like me – one of your favorite movies on The Hallmark Channel is It Was Always You. Starring Tyler Hynes and Erin Krakow, this is the movie that showed you that these two have chemistry that is insane on the screen. It also taught you that you should never settle, because love is all around you.
Fans have been waiting for the two to reunite in a movie and have been asking for what seems like forever. It makes sense that they would reunite for a Countdown to Christmas movie – Christmas Above The Clouds.
THE SYNOPSIS
The movie is about, “When workaholic CEO Ella Neezer tries to skip Christmas by flying to Australia, she’s in for the flight of her life. Haunted by her past, present and future, she’s forced to confront the choices that led to her success yet left her flying solo. With the help of three quirky spirits and a surprise reunion with her ex, she might just rediscover the magic of Christmas – and the love she thought she’d lost.”
First – Ella Sounds smart. Some of us would love to avoid Christmas, but can you ever really avoid it? Christmas – as much as I say I dislike it – I understand that it’s this time of the year that reminds people of joy, love, and family.
Hallmark has a special way of hearing us – the fans. But I also believe that Krakow and Hynes hear the fans too and wanted to make sure that whatever they chose to do together was just as special as It Was Always You.
Releasing the pictures for the upcoming movie – I am not sure what I take away from them. I think that we’ll always be surprised by what is next with these two, and that the grace and love that they feel for those that watch them make art is eternal.
The only thing I do know for sure when it comes to Christmas Above The Clouds is my behind will be firmly planted in front of my television on November 15th to watch it.
