We love, well love. Cynics and all of that, but still love the whole idea of people being happy and finding their person. In February of this year, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke got married in New York City. She was in Texas for SXSW for her film, Wishful Thinking and the actress gushed about married life and well… love.
“I mean … love is the best,” Maya said to Page Six.
“And like, you know, even to connect it to [the characters in Wishful Thinking], if I had any advice for Charlie and Julia, it would be that they found a way to be more honest with each other about how they feel,” she added, looking happy and glowing when she talks about the love of her life.
Adding, “Because I really — I feel so lucky to have found my best friend and to have someone I can tell anything to. It makes something like getting married feel like, oh, of course, you know, not like what, and I’m very, very, very lucky, so I’m really happy.”
Maya has been promoting Wishful Thinking which she stars in with Lewis Pullman. The movie, “Follows a couple whose emotional states have supernatural effects on their surroundings, forcing them to evaluate whether their relationship is beneficial or harmful.”
We’re excited for her and how happy she is. From what we’re reading Wishful Thinking is really good and we can’t wait to see it.
