We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Best Scene of the Week

Raquel: I’d almost include this week’s entire episode of Outlander, but I’ll stick with the hug between John and William and the much-needed conversation between Jamie and John. Finally, my second favorite ship on this show is back together!
Jeanette: I’m all over the place with TV this week, but I’m excited that Drag Race All Stars 11 is back! The Bracket 1 queens (mostly) came out strong with their first rap challenge. I’ve got to say, Dawn really surprised me with her verse. It killed!
Ashley W.: I loved the courtroom scene in the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale. The show had been missing the legal element to it, so using Karen Page’s trial as this grand event to help close out season 2 was great. It also perfectly showcased the dynamic, relationship, and history between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk. Their battle then sets the scene for an entertaining event all-around with the reactions from characters like Heather Glenn and even the other spectators at the trial.
Jennifer: It feels necessary for me to bring up the scene of Shane holding Bex after she was shot in the Season 2 finale of The Hunting Party. They’ve gotten closer as friends throughout the season but there’s a hint of something more between them. Neither will hesitate to save each other or put themselves in danger to protect the other.
While Bex may have been conscious enough to help Shane put an end to Lazarus, the show’s antagonist who happens to also be his mother, she was still bleeding out on the floor. He didn’t hesitate to cradle her in his arms, comfort her, and ask if she was okay while they waited for an ambulance. I’ll be thinking about the way he caressed her face for the rest of the weekend.
Ship of the Week

Jeanette: I’m one episode behind in Hacks, BUT you best believe I saw those spoilers online. Yes, the ones where Deborah and Ava do the “fake dating” trope and… kiss! Listen, I get it’s all pretend, but this is a smart way to throw shippers a bone without actually committing to a canon romance. I cannot wait to actually watch the episode!
Shana: I’m literally watching the Deborah/Ava fake dating episode. And, like. Yeah. Them. What a moment.
Ashley W.: Despite how the episode ultimately ended, Chenford got engaged in The Rookie season 8, episode 18: “The Bandit,” so how could I choose any ship but them?!
Raquel: I completely agree with Ashley. So, apart from Chenford, I’m going to say Jamie & Claire and Jamie & John from Outlander. My babies!
Best Performance of the Week

Raquel: Caitríona Balfe. Finally, Outlander gave her something to work with—thank you, Diana Gabaldon—and as soon as it did, she proved once again why she’s been leading this show alongside Sam Heughan all these years.
Jeanette: I’ve been really digging the entire cast of Widow’s Bay, but obviously, Matthew Rhys is a standout. Watching him navigate the whole sea hag fiasco this week was a creepy blast!
Jasmine: I’m going to sound like a broken record but I gotta go with my girl Zendaya as Rue on Euphoria again. Watching her play out all of Rue’s emotions in that interrogation room, and then watching her try to navigate having to be a snitch at Alamos club just reminds me what a phenomenal actress she truly is.
Jennifer: Morena Baccarin as Sheriff Mickey Fox in the most recent episode of Sheriff Country. I cannot get the way she crumbled and started crying as she confronted her father Wes for stealing money from the DEA. It was just so sad and I felt terrible for Mickey as she realized her father hadn’t changed like she thought he did.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week

Ashley W.: Technically, this is several moments, but every time Dash was in a scene in the season 8 finale of The Rookie was so annoying. He had been in this past season *plenty*, and it felt so unnecessary to feature him in the season finale — especially given how much he was in the episode!
Not to mention, he goes through the episode all worried about needing another letter of recommendation for his college application that he procrastinated only for him to decide, in the end, he doesn’t want to go college — not anytime soon anyway. Good for him for figuring out what he wants, but was all that buildup and that revelation for a recurring character really necessary for a season finale?
Raquel: I completely agree with Ashley. And I would only add that I also couldn’t stand seeing Bailey shoehorned into a police operation where she had no business being.
Jasmine: Watching this week’s episode of Law and Order: SVU and seeing Fin take the lead only reminded me of how much we’ve missed out on having him consistently on this season. I love Ice-T. And I love Fins dynamic with the squad. It’s such a shame he’s been MIA so much.
Quote of the Week

Raquel: “When we met, I had to come to believe that the world was a really dark place. And for the last 8 years, you’ve shown me just how much light there really is. You have healed me in places I didn’t even know were broken. And I promise you, I promise to spend the rest of our lives doing everything I can to be worthy of that love. So Lucy Chen, will you marry me?” — Tim to Lucy in ABC’s The Rookie season finale.
Shana: “I’m…gay.” – Deborah Vance, Hacks.
Ashley W.: “I am Daredevil.” – Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, episode 8: “The Southern Cross.”
Jasmine: “Hello. I’m Sergeant Tutuola, SVU. This is Captain Curry.” – Fin, Law and Order: SVU.
