FBI Season 9 is almost here! We already have some details and goodies about it, and we can’t wait to know more! So, if you don’t want to miss anything, here’s everything we know about FBI Season 9.
Who Is Returning for FBI Season 9?
Fortunately, all of the cast members are returning for FBI Season 9! So expected returning main cast members include:
- Missy Peregrym as Maggie Bell.
- Zeeko Zaki as Omar Adom “OA” Zidan.
- Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine.
- Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille.
- John Boyd as Stuart Scola.
- Juliana Aidén Martinez as Eva Ramos.
Roland Buck III, known for his role in Chicago Med, joins the show as Maggie’s new partner, Special Agent Isaiah Green. However, Maggie will struggle to connect with her new partner. The situation is further complicated by Isaiah’s relationship with ADIC Lawrence Green, a high-ranking figure in the FBI hierarchy.
This connection—not yet fully clarified—could influence how the team receives Isaiah and the decisions he makes during investigations, as well as force Maggie to rethink her way of working.

What Will Happen After the FBI Season 8 Cliffhanger?
The Season 8 finale, changes OA’s circumstances. His protest over the cover-up of a virus outbreak leads to his apparent firing by Assistant Director in Charge Lawrence Green, but that situation puts him in position to work undercover against Anna Vorpe and her team.
That means Season 9 won’t begin with everything going back to normal. Instead, OA will be working in a different capacity, while Maggie has to adjust to the fact that her longtime partner is no longer operating beside her in the same way.
The Season 9 premiere wastes no time putting that new dynamic into play. The team investigates the death of a young traveler who witnessed the execution of someone connected to a top-secret government-sponsored project. At the same time, Maggie is working with a new partner, Isaiah Green, while OA adjusts to his new role.
So Maggie has an new working relationship to navigate just as OA’s circumstances have temporarily changed. And considering how important Maggie and OA’s partnership has been to the series, that is one of the biggest changes waiting for us when Season 9 begins.
Do FBI and CIA Have Crossovers?
Yes, FBI and CIA are launching their new seasons with linked crossover appearances on October 5. But they’re separate episodes, not one two-hour crossover story.
CIA Deputy Chief of Station Nikki Reynard appears in the FBI Season 9 premiere, where she assists the team with the investigation. And this won’t necessarily be a one-off appearance. Showrunner Mike Weiss has indicated that Nikki will return to the show more than once throughout the season when cases require CIA expertise.
The crossover goes in the other direction, too. FBI Special Agent Stuart Scola will appear in the CIA Season 2 premiere. There, he helps Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss) and the CIA team with an operation. That appearance also gives us a little more context for Scola’s connection to the CIA side of things, because we’ll learn that he and FBI agent Bill Goodman are old friends.
So, while FBI and CIA aren’t telling one giant two-hour story, the October 5 premieres are clearly connected through their characters and cases.
